Right i got part of my braces fitted today (4 bits of elastic to make a bigger gap, so the train tracks will fit) but it really hurts when i put pressure on the teeth in which the elastic bands have been put in between, for example earlier i was eating my tea and i ended up leaving half of it because it hurt to eat, the bands are quite far back on both sides. I don't want to use drugs as they make me drowsy (even the non drowsy ones) and i need to stay awake a little longer (homework to do, and i can't do that if i take the medicine) Help any other ways to stop the ache and pain? Note: i can't have ice cream as it has sugar in it and i can't eat any more sugar like in ice cream in the lead up to getting my braces. more

Hi, I posted on here before but now i know a few more facts and hopefully can run through a bit more detail as im unsure about what to do. To recap, i came from the uk to work on a summer camp back in 2002. A month after i returned, a end of school prank went wrong - a hotel room was put in my name and my so called school friends left without paying - i was arrested and they called it " obtaining services by deception" and i went to court and paid for the room. that was 4 years ago - i have been back on holiday to and from the USA since and no problems but i have been invited back by camp for next Summer ( 2009) the thing is, ill need to get a working visa. Now im getting mixed views on this. some people are saying unless its to do with drugs or fighting etc it shouldnt be a problem... then I called up the USA embassy and i have to have an interview with them and explain what happened and then they decide. its costs about 100 pounds and they say they cant say the outcome, you have to wait and see. then i called Camp America, they do visa's and they said its pretty much a zero chance ill get the visa. he gave me an example of one guy from the uk who kicked an ice cream stand 3 years ago and they said no to a visa for him. so im thinking, if the odds are really that low shall i go through and pay all the monet etc if its pretty much a no no? just wondered if anyone has any experience of this, as i have to make my next move. thanks very much. “Diane, please wake up we’re about to start our homework assignment” Diane’s teacher stated as she handed out the homework to the class. “Oh sorry Mrs. Pickleberry, it won’t happen again.” She said as she woke up from a power nap. Diane was the type of student that could do anything she wanted to in life. She was so good at everything no one could stop her. The only problem was she was a chatter box and was never on task because she was always talking. In the 7th grade she was little miss perfect; never swore, was a virgin and never even thought about taking a drug or drinking in her life. You see there was this one boy. This one boy who was invisible to her. Not the fact that she didn’t know who he was, the school was very small so of course she knew who he was. I can only remember one scene from the movie. Some police almost catch some drug dealers and then they hear a ice cream van, one of the guys gets ice creams for the fellow officers, only not to realise the drugs are in the ice creams, and get pilled up on them. Hi Guys and Gals! Ok heres the deal, and please I know I was a fool for smoking it but don't tell me over and over that I shouldn't of etc lol as I'm WELL aware I shouldn't off. Ok here goes... Ive been a regular smoker of cannabis for 4 years now. I have now stopped, I get no cravings or anything. Ive submitted an application into the RAF and have been clean now for 4 days (not a long time I know). I think my medical will be around about the 25th August to the 1st September as my aptitude tests are booked for the 5th August and my AFCO officer advised it takes around 2-3 weeks after the tests for the medical. Ive heard it takes up to 28 days from my GP to remove cannabis from the system and shes been very helpful however I need someone to tell me how the RAF screen for drugs... Is it urine, blood or hair? I'm 19, slim, good level of fitness and muscular rather than fat. I drink plenty of iced water a day and visit the gym and do regular ex cerise at home (weights, sit-ups etc etc). I'm just really worried as I did if truth be told smoke alot during those 4 years. So please can anyone help me by giving me a good answer? Thanks in advance! I am aware that some kind of licence from one of the London councils is needed, however, I contacted their street trading teams, but no one could give me a definite answer if it's illegal/legal or if it's a grey area of the law. I know that one 'should' obtain a licence, and that councils regulate street trading. However, I was informed on many occasions that licences are not given in regards to foods. In the meantime, I can't help noticing 100s, if not 1000s of persons selling hot dogs, ice cream, etc. throughout the streets of London. If they do not have a licence, how is it legal? or is it a grey area of the law, kind of like drugs in Amsterdam, where they selling them is technically illegal but there is no enforcement by the police. Resolved Question: Hi, Is there a doctor in the house, or someone close to..?

My friend has come into work, suffering from swollen glands around the throat. The doctor gave her medication, so she's literally drugged up to the eyeballs, but her throat and ear are hurting, after she put a pack of ice around her neck area during the night to prevent further swelling and infection. Was that a good idea in the first place? I feel really bad, because I suggested she do that and now she seems worse!! I was told to put ice on my face after having my back teeth yanked out, and that worked against any infection and swelling...... so I thought this would work... Resolved Question: Price-fixing of food and drink at music festivals - what do you think?

I'm doing some research into price-fixing at events, especially music festivals. I heard that some smaller stall owners are regularly intimidated by what one referred to as a 'fast food mafia' (!) if they do not charge enough for their food, to keep prices artificially high. There are stories of cables being cut to stalls and similar damage. Apparently, large event retailers often own more than half of the outlets at events like Glastonbury (although they are all individually branded) and competition can be very fierce to win contracts as the 'preferred' supplier. When I heard about this it reminded me of a press feature last year about violence between ice-cream and hotdog van owners in london, where police had found a turf-war and connections to security (protection rackets) and drugs. Does this sound a bit 'conspiracy theory' to you? If not, or you know anything about this or have any ideas that might be useful, I would be very grateful. Thanks! more

Resolved Question: Dream about hiding a body.?

Two nights in a row I have drempt about being involved with others (who I know in my dream, but not in r/l) in hiding a body. Both nights I have seen this icky body we're trying to hide. The death was an accident, but I can't remember from what. Other than looking decayed, the body is not deformed, so it wan't violence. I really do not want to have this dream again! We are usually close to being discovered, but evade it every time. I haven't been drinking, using drugs, or eating ice cream before bed! (My mom always said it gave you nightmares.) I will sometimes have weird/funny dreams, but never a dream this disturbing to me before. I wrote the two dreams down before going to bed and did not (yea!) dream about it that night. I did realize that in the first dream I did not want to hide the bodies, but my 'friends' did, and I went along. The only thing I know of which I feel a bit guilty about is being late for a yearly exam (I'm a woman) that I'm not looking forward to it. I know I need a hysterectomy (which is a hidden part of the body, maybe?), but currently live on a third floor and am working to find a first floor space. (I can't climb stairs for a while after & that is just not feasible right now.) I watch a tv show where they were hiding a body, but that wasn't a very recent plot and it doesn't 'feel' right as a fit. Mystic said, "It may also represent the death of an old situation before the rebirth into a new stage." That's the only part of your answer that does not feel like it could maybe fit.
