Resolved Question: How do I Enforce a CCJ and seize stock when the defendant is working from home, please help?

Hi We are a UK advertising agency and last year we built a website for a client who has since refused to pay the invoiced £3000. We issued a CCJ, took them to court and won by default because they did not provide a defence. Following some advice from a debt collection agency we raised the CCJ to a HCJ so their 'experienced' bailiffs could seize stock, unfortunately the client is trading from home and keeps all their stock on site, the bailiffs can't force entry into a residential property and the client doesn't have any vehicles that can be seized... So our dilemma is that we are still £3000 out of pocket, the client is still trading, we have a HCJ that seeming cannot be enforced unless they invite a bailiff in for a cup of tea and just to rub it in, they have ripped the logo we designed for the company and have placed it on their new inferior site... Frustrated is not the word. Can anyone help, has anyone experienced anything like this before, does anyone have the phone number for the A-Team? Kind regards Paul more

Resolved Question: MMORPG – Customer Service – Who to file complaints to for action?

I have played mmorpgs ( Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) for many years. Games like, Final Fantasy Online, EverQuest2, The Realm Online, City of Heros/ Villains, Star Wars Galaxies, Age of Conan, World of Warcraft, and more recently Warhammer Online. The common theme is online game customer service is a joke. I have “NEVER” asked a GM or customer service and been helped in YEARS of online game play. If you loss experience, game item, or have problem with something minor they simply give you a, “Sorry.” and do nothing, I love playing online games, but having customer service and the business design so people are not helped and basically told, “You are on your own. Our fault or not, tough luck!” hurts the gaming community and the gaming industry. People can say, “Well, if you cannot handle it then stop playing!”, but what they do not seem to get the bigger picture, which is without players, the company makes less money, and with less money the company will cut back on new additions to the game, expansions, and the entire quality of the game will decline. To make my voice be heard I want to exhaust all my options of complaint in protest of this poor service. I have explained it to the GMs, used the customer service on their website, and neither of them will do anything. I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but they already have an F rating. Who do I contact that might make them care? Government agency claiming their product is broken in its current state and not offering a refund? Do I charge back the game? What do I do to make my point? more

Resolved Question: Chasing Unpaid Invoices?

I work as a freelance creative web developer and was contracted by a new small start up web design agency (2 man band) to develop some flash banners for one of their clients about 2 months ago. I invoiced the work just over a month and 2 weeks ago now (about £200). As it was a small job, I normally request payment soon after delivery. After 3 weeks of waiting for payment, I contacted them to request payment and was told by one of the 2 guys that he thought the other guy (who he said wasn't in on the day) had already paid the invoice as he doesn't deal with payments (not true cause he had paid a previous invoice). I left it at that and waited. I called a week later (still no payment) and was told roughly the same story. Seems like they weren't getting on between the two of them and the guy I spoke to (same guy said he'd call me when the other guy makes the payment). Few days on got a call from the guy I'd been speaking to to say the other guy was still not in but would be in the next day to pay the invoice and he would ring to confirm then. That was about a week and a half ago and haven't received the call and the payment. I've tried calling them over 2 days, yesterday and today and my calls haven't been answered on their mobiles or business number. Left a message requesting a quick update and also sent them an email fo which I still haven't received a reply. I've tried to be as nice as possible, I delivered the work on time by working late nights as I had other jobs going at the time. I am sort of left with a dilemma of what to do next professionally. The banners I created have a script within them that allows me turn them off remotely (as I do not have access to their server) and display a message instead. This is something I developed a few months ago to protect myself from this exact situation. Do I use it, or should I continue trying to chase after the money? If I do use it, what message should I display seeing as these banners are on their clients website who probably doesn't know the work was outsourced to me? They have been using the flash banners I created on their clients website since I delivered them and am sure their client has paid them for the banners although this shouldn't make a difference as I should be paid regardless. Hello ALL, I work for a NYC agency and its going on (2) years and I'm still a temp. When I first applied for this job, I applied through the website and was offered the job after it was turned down by another applicant because the money wasn't enough. SO okay, I was very happy at that time for the opportunity. At this time, there were (3) of us in the unit. Usually with the city, the paperwork takes a few months, so they brought me on as a temp and told me my paper work was going through the approval process at OMB. Okay, fine. A few months pass, I hear that its stuck in the hiring freeze so I'll have to wait. Okay, fine. Fast forward to June 08, they repost my position again, so now the first position, god knows what happen to it. So I apply to the repost and now they're telling me that my paper work is stuck at OMB again for whatever reason, hiring freeze. I'm like how come my paperwork always get stuck at that particular time. Anyway, I've been on a few interviews since last year but nothing never became of it, either because I wasn't really intrigued about the position or maybe it was that most of my applications were sent because of frustration and I just didn't know if I was going or coming in this place. Alright, so its now February 09, in a few months I'll be hear 2 years. Now the lady that was here for 20+ years left this bureau and went to another agency because she just about had it with these people. From the scandals in management to the lunatics that we have to work with in other bureaus, this is just a nut house. This nut house however, has made me into a serial entrepreneur, and has allowed me to channel my frustration to create websites and I now have my my own internet marketing and web design company. I alreaedy have my comp registered but its under my mom's name. But I have the site up and I'm ready to heavy marketing. So here I am in the present and just about ready to get out of here so I can focus my energy on my business, my 2 girls and increase my skills for my entrepreneurial dreams by going back to school and taking some business courses. I would really like to just leave this place and get unemployment benefits becaues I know they will keep stringing me along and using the hiring freeze as an excuse. I have no health benefits, no nothing. I had to skip 1 week for the last month just to get my 1 year old daughter medicaid. If i dont come in or my kids get sick I dont get paid. Its ridiculous, I could do so much with my sites and my new business ideas. I have my bf that's working and soon we'll be getting a good refund that should help sustain. When I'm here its all chaos and frustration seeing management get over with their affairs and scandals. I've had it. I need some way to get out with a good cause for unemployment. They already know that I'm frustrated but they think because of the economy I have no where to go. They don't know about my business that I have and the web design skills that I've been advancing. I have a seasonal job as an airbrush artist; been looking for full time work since August, had interviews without any luck after following up. I just get so side tracked and don't know what to do with my life. I was best friends with this guy all the way through school. When we graduated we decided start a graphic design agency together. A year later our friendship fell apart through no fault of my own. He continued to work as a web designer, using our trade name, but because of our fallout, I felt uninspired and I didn't want to be involved, which is why I'm currently working in a different field. I am so frustrated. I have been unemployed for over 4 months now, ever since I moved to the Providence RI area (ranked #1 worst job market in the country). I moved here with my husband's military career and though I have a bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience in graphic design, I have not been able to get a job. I am online every day on the various job sites hunting for and applying for things. I have reworked my resume, cover letter and references. I have "snail" mailed applications, and applying to things outside of my field. I am frustrated because I have run out of money and can't pay my bills, the jobs that are available here ar part time clerical or medical or retail types. Part time would be some money, yes, but I still won't be able to cover all my bills with it. I cannot type- I have tried learning and I still can only type 16 WPM max. I am frustrated that people think just because I am a military wife, I should be happy to take any old job and like it, too. I have worked retail before and developed severe back pain as a result fo my heavy breasts. Military insurance will NOT pay for a breast reduction so am I just supposed to suffer with the pain and go work at Sears? Then when a permanent injury occurs (as it did with my dad) THEN what am I going to do? People tell me to just start a business doing freelance design, and I have tried, posting and posting and posting on craigslist, joining networking sites, building a site for my businesses but nothing is bringing in any money. I had another website to sell toiletries and such but in this economy I guess people aren't buying "luxury items" like that, so I have had to stop doing it as I can't afford to process the cc payments or advertise anymore. I'd like to go back to school but, again, no money, and I have missed the financial aid deadline for this year. Even if they'd pay my way through school i still would have no way to pay my bills. I have tried temp agencies, they all say they will call me when something comes in and I never hear anything else. I have tried telecommuting and work from home things and it's usually some job where they want you to do MLM, door to door or try to sell some crap to people they do not want, or they promise you this huge "salary" or say "unlimited salary" when you pay like $35 to join and just talk to everyone you see about the program (the only ones getting rich are the originators). I need some real help. I know we can't always get what we want but am I totally wrong for not wanting to take a menial job after I have spent years and thousands of dollars learning and then honing my craft? I got contacted today by a modeling agency that seems interested in working with me (surprise! I'm a designer with 22 years of field experience and I am looking for advice. I created 2 products requiring an education before I can expect someone to make a purchase. The first product is a 100% original design. CMS website... it is different from CMS sites such as Joomla because the templates are created from scratch and therefore can be incredibly creative. With the right hosting these sites include everything from a photo gallery to a blog to e-commerce all at one flat rate. The second product combines a talent agency with web development services, allowing a website owner to give us a script and choose a model. We then have that model "walk on" to the site and be a spokesmodel for the company. It's very exciting because not only are the prices pretty cheap but these videos load pretty quickly too. How do I teach people about these great services? I do NOT want to sell my work here, I am not soliciting. I only want to know HOW to sell this service with no salesmen.
